It’s an open genre night with performances by three local acts – some new and upcoming, some already well known. No matter how loud a night it is, whether it’s seating, pit or dancing, we want it to be the closest to the band you’re ever going to get.

The Venus Children – Instagram
A Leeds psych four-piece dealing in bass-heavy grooves, phased walls of guitar and hypnotic hooks, with a stubborn refusal to settle into 4/4. Formed in late 2024, they’ve worked their way through Oporto, Royal Park Cellars and a headline at The Library, and released debut single “Rollercoaster” ahead of their debut album “The Ingredient”.
Dial an Octopus – Instagram
Abstract experimental folk-rock with a punk edge, bringing esoteric lyricism to Leeds – there are no rules to follow. To hear more, just Dial An Octopus.
Isaac Aylward – Instagram
Emerging in 2021 from Leeds, Isaac Aylward blends synth pop, blues, jazz, comedy and folk into his songwriting. A keyboardist and songwriter whose lyrics are conjured from the everyday, he has performed at several venues across the Leeds music scene, including The Attic, where he won over the crowd with his song Don’t Know What to Make of You. His solo material draws influence from Bo Burnham, Tim Minchin and Bill Bailey, and, ideally, you’ll leave his shows with a chorus in your head and some sentiment about how it’s okay if your Northern Rail train is late (again) because you’re worth more than that.
